A couple of months ago I went to dinner with a friend who was in town for the evening for work. When I got to the restaurant I realized I left my wallet in my car and decided to pay for the entire meal using Google Pay. I realized he took a picture of the meal as he might be able to get some reimbursement from his job. Fast forward to now we have dinner reservations again tonight. I don’t mind paying for a meal if it’s a back and forth thing and it’s comparable. But the bill was $223 dollars. Do I bring up the fact that I paid last time. Or just see what he does? I know money is a sensitive topic but like what do I do in this situation?

  1. I’d say something like “by the way, I paid for the last one, do you want to pay this one and call it even or should we split them both?”
