Hey everyone.
I’ve always been an introvert and quite isolated, but recently I’ve been trying to talk with people more, most specifically in online spaces.
I notice that even though people message me first, they don’t ask questions back.
An example:
Other person: Hi
Me: Hi, how are you?
Other person: Good thanks
What am I supposed to reply with after that to keep the conversation going?

You’ve really go two options. The first is to just keep asking questions until you find a topic that they like to talk about, the second is to just ask what kind of things they like to talk about.
Alternatively, you could just start telling them something that’s on your mind and see how they respond. Like “did you see that thing on the news…” or “I watched this film the other day”… or “I really like…” and then if they respond conversationally you know they’re going to continue to do so. If they just respond monosyllabically then you know they’re either not interested in the topic or they’re just not conversational type of people.
