The Princess Bride
Movies? The 1950 Cyrano. TV shows? Mr. Sunshine is pretty good, at least the beginning episodes.

Watch Stanley and Iris. It’s a little older but it stars Robert DeNiro and Jane Fonda and will renew your faith in love. If you’re looking for comedy the Parenthood will do the same. Another phenomenal one is Murphy’s Romance.
Die Hard. Its almost Christmas too.
