I know there’s exceptions and I do know many people who do, but what I mean more is it’s more acceptable for calling an SO everyday to be an “expectation” almost (for lack of better word, I know even that shouldn’t be EXPECTED).
If the difference between platonic best friends and romantic partners is just the romance part, then why does it feel less important to keep them a part of ur everyday too? Many people say some distance is good cuz friends can catch up with eachother later and it’s like they never left, but then the same people say a day would feel incomplete without catching up with their bf / gf. I’ve always had trouble distinguishing romance from deep friendships to begin with tho. To me my level of affection feeels pretty much the same, just one leans on some physical as well. But I feel just as deeply for my friend friends.
