There are some people I end up ignoring or not talking to when I see them. This is because we got off to a bad start. Maybe we had the wrong idea of each other at the beginning or the first encounter was very awkward. It gave them the impression that I wasn’t very likable, and conversely that they didn’t very like me. However, we hang around in very similar circles and I see them a lot. On at least two occasions recently, I spoke to them because I felt bad not doing it. It turns out that they do want to talk to me. But the awkwardness is ever there, because on many occasions we literally have ignored each other… Sometimes very rudely. Are these sorts of relationships salvageable?
