This question has been bothering me for a long time. Patting each other on the back in times of relative peace is one thing. But what would actually happen if Russia again did the unthinkable and attacked, for example, the Baltic states or Poland?

Will Western societies actually come to the aid of their allies, even if it will cost them a high price in human lives and prosperity l? Or maybe there will be a strong push to hand over these “eastern ones” to Moscow in exchange for the opportunity to live comfortably as before?
