So I started my first proper job a while ago, and when I was about 6 weeks in, one of my colleagues went on maternity leave. She worked part time, so we’d only actually had about 6-8 shifts together. I think I’m friends with most of my colleagues, and I know she’s close friends with a lot of them. I was still coughing from covid when she had the baby, so I didn’t entertain the thought of saying hello, but now I really want to. She’s really nice and the only other autist in the team and babies are adorable. She recently added me on facebook so maybe that’s a sign she’d be OK with being my friend? Can I just ask to visit when I’m next in her town or is it weird?
