When I tell people what I do for work they assume I make good money. I think it’s alright but it’s not a crazy amount or anything. What do I say to someone who makes this kind of comment? Why would they say that? I’m trying to build trust and form a connection and I don’t want the person to think there’s a large pay discrepancy between us.
