I want to get an opinion from communication perspective. This is the 4th or 5th time this coworker in my team, gets in an argument with a different developer in less than 3 months. He is not a know it all or arrogant, in fact he is good in what he does honestly.

One thing though, his responses are very aggressive. A recent example for anyone here who works in IT, a developer from another team asks for clarification and information about a topic and he is like : ” Look into it yourself, don’t ask others to look at it for you “.. like in the public channel.

Also recently he got into a heated argument with another developer because the latter, when discussing something and trying to understand a configuration, sent us a link in production, and this aggressive coworker is like ” Do you want us to test right away in production ? “, developer simply said ” No, I just sent the link where the configuration goes ” and he doesn’t let it go and he is like ” No you sent the link to production, means you want us to deploy on production …”

Those are the few examples, but there are others and I wouldn’t waste too much time detailing them. but anyway, I want to know if this is normal behavior when communicating or not. Especially that it gets repeated, and with different persons too.
