So earlier today, I texted in my friend gc that I was gonna kill myself yesterday, I ended up not doing dat, clearly, but still really wanting to do it. So at breakfast, my friend (bio-f, gender fluid), who’s basically the mom of the friend group, came up to me and asked if I needed a hug. I said no because I’ve never been hugged by a friend, just my partner. I really wish that I did accept the hug, but I don’t know how to. How do I ask for the hug without it being awkward and how do you do platonic friend hugs? Man, I feel pathetic rn. TL/DR: How do I ask my friend who previously offered me a hug that I refused?
