I started hooking up with a man 9 months ago from my work and we’ve been in an exclusive FWB relationship since then (I’m 36f, he’s 58m.) Our sexual chemistry is perfect and we’ve developed a solid foundation of trust, care and communication. When we have sex, we do have some eye contact and my eyes are normally open but when I try to gain some confidence to lock eyes with him and maintain eye contact, I’ll get about 3 seconds in and look somewhere else and I hatee it. I don’t have confidence issues anywhere else really when we have sex so it’s just frustrating for me to shy away from this.

Has anyone else struggled with this and gained the confidence to lock eyes with your SO? Does this just come more “naturally” for some people? Even tho we’re in a FWB relationship, we do have a certain level of care for each other, so the emotional connection is there (before I get responses about how important it is to have an emotional connection.)
