I remember in my 20’s meeting people that were super passionate about things, having those DEEP conversations that felt like unlocking certain parts of the brain, the ones that would go on for hours, or even people having a conversation with you one on one where they’d look you in the eyes and not break contact.
But wow… things have changed beyond belief, everything’s an inconvenience now, or people being left on read, or people being perceived as “nerdy” or “weird” for wanting to discuss the depth of topics or even things they’ve studied…
What happened?
If anything it’s turned me more into a hermit because I can’t have a conversation of this caliber anymore — it’s like the soul of people’s conversations has been sucked from them.
