I know there are plenty of minorities in the US but I often feel Indians or Indian Americans raised by the older generation of Indians have a tougher or uniquely difficult time socializing. Of course it isn’t a hard and fast rule. Has anyone else noticed this?

  1. I think there are a few important social cues here in America that folks in India don’t really understand

  2. Biggest issue is the language barrier. They speak English but their accent makes them hard to understand. Asking them to repeat what they are said gets them really annoyed.

    All the Indians I know that are social speak without accent and dress like US people.
