Hi, I would like advice on if i’m not understanding social cues or was just routine salesperson tactics.
I, 22M was at the mall today and one of the girls casually stopped me by handing me the free lotion they give out. (Store-not Kiosk) We went inside and she said she was going to show me how great their lotion was. We sat down and started normal small talk like (How old we were, where i work, hobbies) Also I wanted to note that when we sat down her knee never left contact with mine. She started applying to lotion to my hands and goes about the normal sales talk now. Asking me to observe how the lotion worked and how good it was for my skin. Then she started offering the current deals they were having on the products.
Then she said, “if you have any more questions about the product i can give you my number?” x4 times she said this over the duration of our conversation.
I finally said no i couldn’t buy the lotion (60$) after all her “said” deals under the table and she threw in a couple free items to if i bought.
She was very cute but I guess im just more confused if I had missed an opportunity or am leading myself into delulu
