Found out the guy I’m seeing is close friends with a guy I used to date

I met a guy on hinge 2 weeks ago and had two dates with him, things went well and I really enjoyed hanging out with him, and we both agreed that we weren’t looking for anything long term due to plans of moving abroad in the near future. During one of our conversations about his friends, I realized that I briefly dated one of his close friends for about a month. Even though his friend and I were never official, things ended pretty badly between us and it was pretty recent as well, around 2 month ago. I’m torn on whether or not I should talk to him about it, since it could make things pretty awkward and we’ve only just started dating. We already have a third date planned and I don’t know if I should tell him over the phone before then, bring it up on our date or just stay silent for now. Advice?
