When I sat in one table with my relatives, I always receive advice about my work choice and personal life, even though I am not asking it. I am a very private person, I avoid talking about my work and life initiatively. If someone ask about it, I will say something really simple to end this topic as soon as possible, but it brings me more trouble because of the short anwsers I gave. Some of them started to giving unsolicited advice due to my silence, such as asking me to change my job and stop being single. I felt forced and uncomfortable, even a bit angry. They kept saying I don’t know what I am doing about my life and even not making enough money to buy a house. I think it’s ridiculous to receive so many unsolicited advice from people who barely know me. Is it normal to feel that way? How should I response?
