Ladies , How do you deal with Strawberry Legs/ Big black dots after shaving because your leg hairs are thick?

  1. Can try Chemical Exfoliation using AHA or BHA. Use a body wash with Salicylic Acid or Glycolic Acid in it and moisture after bath. This can help to some extent.

  2. Mine isn’t very thick but thick enough that I get bumps and a bit stubble, soaking in the bath for about 20 minutes softens the hair before shaving and gets a much closer shave/brings of dead skin cells you never even noticed/ homemade sugar scrub helps soften further and soften skin but don’t rub into the legs roughly just a
gentle circle motion with not a lot of pressure

    I cup sugar
2cups any oil (jojoba is very good for your skin but other oils will do)
And juice of one small or 1/2 large lime
Soak for at least 20 min then use sugar scrub then rinse and shave

Shower after and try to get most of the oil residue off( some will inevitably stay but that helps protect your freshly shaved legs during the night and by morning they will feel so soft

Only did this once but my legs felt so good after(caution you will keep touching your legs for the next few days) the softness will last for ages- _ is a bit of an effort though.and you will have to rinse razors more and use a couple of them for the full task _ not sure about good quality razors so probably just get cheap multipack ones for this as the oil protects your skin from razor rash anyway.

  3. Nothing because it’s not a big deal to me. Possibly get a tattoo to distract from it?

  4. I don’t mind them. They mean I have hair follicles, which is normal in humans.

  5. My leg hair is SO thick. I’ve tried so many things. Physical exfoliants. Chemical exfoliants. Letting my legs sit in baby oil for a while first. Shaving at the very end of a hot shower. Probably many more things which I’m forgetting now. Ultimately ended up using an epilator, which works very well for me. Sorry this doesn’t answer your question, but I figured I’d share my experience too since I have body hair that’s thicker than most men’s.

If you ever choose to go the epilator route, my recommendation to make it less painful is to shave once first, then spend 10 min using your epilator everyday. If you use it while your hair just starts to sprout, it’ll hurt no more than plucking your brows.

  6. I was trapped in a strawberry legs cycle. I solved it with an electric shaver. It doesn’t get as close as a razor, so I can quickly dry shave down whenever, making it way less irritating to get a close razor shave only when I really need to (maybe 1x/week or so).

  7. Invest in laser hair removal. It’s seriously the best and makes life much more convenient

  8. I don’t. It’s natural. We all get it. It should be normalized in my opinion

  9. Waxing helps a lot for me (I buy a $11-20 sugar scrub and use that myself, I like the brand Wax-A-Way)

  10. Literally the only answer is laser. Those dots used to be the bane of my existence, and laser hair removal successfully solved the problem.
