I'm a freshman in university. I'm the only one that's come from overseas so sometimes I struggle to speak my mother tongue and don't know the slang so I can't follow along conversations easily.
At first there was four of us that always sat near each other. Then as time went on, two of them moved seats away from me and this other friend and then started hanging out without the two of us. Today, they bunked class to go out for dinner and I responded to one of their Instagram stories saying "how come you guys didn't say anything to me?" And she responded "why do we need to tell you?". I said "you didn't invite me?" And she responded "why would we invite you?"
I'm feeling really isolated and just want to go back to where I grew up… my parents immigrated so technically this should be my home country but I feel so out of place. The only people I seem to attract are guys that think I'm open-minded because I lived abroad.
