How do I stop being jealous of his past sexual encounters and relationships?

I (39F) have been sexually intimate with a (34M) for almost 6 months. We talk everyday for hours at a time and have amazing sex. Whenever he talks about his past sexual life and other women who he had a liking for I feel jealous and somewhat hurt for some reason. How can I avoid having those type of feelings?
