I (48M) just moved into the heart of a major US city and am looking to meet people. I’m living in an apartment complex for the first time in 20 years and loving the convenience and location. I’ve gone to a couple community events and met some people in passing that I’d like to get to know better. What are some ways to schedule a casual meetup with neighbors you may otherwise only run into occasionally?
I’m looking for ideas that are socially low pressure with high potential for conversation. Inviting someone solo to a meal at my place or nearby restaurant feels kind of high stakes.
