What has simultaneously gotten worse and more expensive? 💭

  1. I would say tools, but honestly in the past few years a lot of companies are stepping it up. Milwaukee has been putting out some fire.

  2. Life. Living costs are skyrocketing everyday and i have more shit to worry about in any one year than my dad ever did during his entire lifetime.

  3. Youtube! Expensive as in watching a 25 sec ad for a 30 sec video! Or just paying 13€/month for it… If my 13 yo self woulda heard me saying 13€/month for youtube he probs woulda gone thru with the hanging….

  4. Literally all convenience stores and the products/food they sell. Wawa, 7-Eleven, etc.

  5. Car parts. Holy shit the plastic gets cheaper every year. Take a panel off, it stretches and never goes back

  6. Large household appliances.

I was born in the early 80s. My parents had the same refrigerator from before I was born and they let me take it with me when I moved out at 20 years old. It lasted for a few years after that. I bought a refrigerator in 2012, and it only lasted 8 years before quit. Similar story for stoves, washers and dryers too.

  7. Yogurt. Used to come in a literal cup. Now it’s like twice as much for four oz and you have to play roulette with like 47 different brands that seem to change every fiscal quarter. How do you fuck up yogurt?

  8. Reliability of equipment.

A couple of years ago my Dryer died after 20 years of use. I went to Lowes to get another. They kept pushing for the extended warranty as they said the new one I was about to buy wouldn’t last that long.

  9. Tinder. Dating apps in general are pretty bad but tinder is a literal money grab. They’ve taken away features…yet upped the price significantly.
