Many (non-European) people are under the impression that university is very affordable or even free in Europe, but that's not always the case. In Italy, tuition at a public university can cost up to 4000€ a year, which isn't nothing when you consider how low our salaries are. Fortunately, fees vary depending on your family's income so most students end up paying only a fraction of that. How does it work in your country?
