It’s clearly a hot-topic in the police stations and as a result has rubbed these people up the wrong way, but I want to know what non-police officers think of it.
Personally, I think that whilst policing in the UK is a tough job, this kind of humour is very British, and that if you are in this job then you need to be able to take some hits to your ego without throwing a tantrum.
I’m not really buying the argument that it ‘endangers’ officers though. The type of person to attack a police officer is probably not the same person that’s watching ITV daytime television.
