What’s the best way to respond to “thank you”?

I never know how to respond when someone thanks me. I know a lot of people these days just say "yeah", but that feels almost robotic and like they don't really care that you're thanking them. "You're welcome" and "my pleasure" feel too formal. Even saying something like "of course" feels too formal.
