How to respond to a pregnancy announcement I already knew about?
Please help! I wasnt sure how to title it so here's an explanation;
My younger brother and girIfriend are přegnant. They told my parents around 5 months ago but they decided to keep it a secret. My mom however, just couldnt keep her excitement and told me about it but told me to keep quiet until they were ready.
This morning my mom made it public ( I believe they confirmed with her it was ok) and later my brother texted me telling me about it.
I said my congratulations to him and told him how life is going to change for him with the new baby and that im always there for him.
However, I wanted to go in and congratulate his girIfriend, although, Im not sure what to say? I thought of being like " Hi, congratulations on the baby" but that just sounds dry.
The thing is I've only my met this girl twice for 5 minutes and never had a conversation with her. Her and my brother have dāted for probably around less than a year and I feel awkward not knowing that to say that doesnt sound too dismissive/dry? Please help!
