I went to a new social Meetup group a month-ish ago. I spoke with one woman who said she was traveling to a city I had visited before. I mentioned that I regret not grabbing a t-shirt from this one place in that city when I was there. She offered that if I give her money, she will bring it back for me. I thanked her for offering and said it would be great. She said since we live fairly close to each other, when she gets back, we can meet up locally and she can give it to me or she can bring it to the next meeting.

She just got back yesterday and texted me that she has the shirt. I texted back thanking her and said my schedule is pretty flexible the next three weeks so I can meet up for coffee, lunch or a drink whenever works for her if she is free. I didn't want to sound desperate so I added that if giving it to me at the next meeting in three weeks is better for her, we can do that. She responded that she's going to be at the next meeting so she can give it to me then.

I have been feeling hurt. I was kind of excited to get to know her better and thought maybe this could be the beginning of a friendship. However, she shut down meeting up so quickly. Based on the interaction, am I correctly interpreting that she is not interested in getting to know me better and being friends?
