Some context or scenario. I’m in the office and I’m conversing with another coworker. A second coworker comes in and is waiting for me to finish but I get so angsty that I can’t continue the conversation because I want to know what they need.

I know the appropriate response for this is to finish the conversation with my current partner, but what are some easy ways to alleviate this pressure to get to the second person needing my attention?

Is this normal behavior btw? I literally cannot focus on the current conversation knowing someone is waiting for me.
