How does everyone text so much during the day

Don't really know if i ever noticed this or cared, but after trying to have relationship which didn't go anywhere sadly i still get so many stupid questions. This girl did seem to text quite a bit during the day with friends/family. And i have person or two where we most of the time just link random video or meme, time to time chat about something, but it's not daily. And i kinda noticed some other people in college i'm friends with also text quite a bit during the day, which honestly feels kinda embarrasing or sad to think that i barely text with anyone and don't have lots of options. Although deep down i probably would be annoyed by texting in a long run
