Is spitting into a hankie to clean your child's face still a thing?
My mother, and older female relatives, used to spit into hankies (hankies of dubious cleanliness, as they came out of handbags and had probably been used to wipe said aunties noses many times before) and then proceed to wipe my face with these offending articles.
Does this still happen? Are mothers still wiping spit over their child's faces?
