How do i make friends in college

Hi guys! So I'm gonna start my firt year of college but I'm scared of being alone but at the same time idk how to make friends i have no social skills and I'm so awkward irl, do u have any advice on how to start a conversation or how to make friends? Don't tell me to go to clubs or wtv i want real advice yk?
