23F and 26M, is this toxic?

Tonight my “fling” and I had some drinks and food. I drove us to my house and he said he was feeling a little buzzed. I told him he could stay over and he didn’t say anything. I asked again and nothing. And again. Then he said his brother was going to come pick him up and I told him I could drive him and drive myself home and we could figure out his car later. Then he got up and said he was fine, and I asked him multiple times if he felt okay and he said he was. He wasn’t stumbling, slurring his words or anything. He left and I later found out he drove himself home. Then i immediately get tons of messages from him saying he can’t believe I let him leave with how drunk he was and how he was never going to talk to me again and if he dies he will be with his late grandmother. I called him about 40 times and tried to get him to pull over etc and he wouldn’t. Then he said he’s done with me and can’t believe I let him do that. But I asked him to stay and if he was okay? I don’t know what to do.
