I tend to behave immaturely, despite being "a smart man who knows how to comprehend the difference between good and bad". For example, I called the room under the staircase the "prayer closet". Knowing that the mother in "Carrie" is a bad woman, my mom deemed it as immature. I owned up to my actions, saying that "I acted on my emotions out of boredom". If I had no emotions, I would be more logical as without emotions, I would rely only on logic to make decisions. Wanting to understand why what I did was immature, I asked my mom (the one to judge) "what would she have wanted me to do to be more mature", so I can understand why what I did at my cousin's place was immature (as she interprets it). Instead of counseling me on my "misbehavior" (aka an "irrational mistake"), my mom tells me to "not talk about my maturity". In other words, my mom accuses me of speaking about my maturity when I was looking for a solution on how I can improve my behavior and not do it again.

I know some people say I should "act my age" or "learn from my own mistakes without asking an adult of any kind".
