Yesterday, our HR lady walked into the common break room with a massive zucchini in her hand. She said something like “I don’t know what to do with these, my husband and kid don’t eat them!” My sister, why not start with picking it a week ago?
In Turkey, if you go to the market this time of the year, zucchinis are at most two fingers thick (usually smaller, but sometimes people want them for making stuffed zucchini). A dainty yellow flower may even be still attached. There is no virtue in growing a giant, watery, seedy, fibery marrow animal as thick as Lasha Talakhadze’s forearm. Nobody wants to eat that. It’s bunny food.
My mother-in-law sends me the picture of the zucchini from the plants I planted, which give round zucchini. I told her to harvest them as big as tennis balls. The ones she grew are as big as my head. “But they grow so fast!!” Yes, they do. So if you see one that’s the right size, pick it! It’s not too small, it’s perfect!
Before I left, I checked the kitchen and the vegetable was still there. I took it with me, and gave it to a neighbor with chickens.
The guy who was driving my dive boat is an Oasis fan,he said that he would like to see the reunion concerts (though I doubt they will play in the Maldives).
I quite liked their first album,I have the second one too but haven’t listened to it in many years.I wouldn’t pay money to see them live.
