What are men supposed to do when they don’t know how to be men or what it means to be a man?

What are men supposed to do In a society which no longer defines gender roles, in which most women have a baseline level of apprehension or fear of men in general, in which many boys were raised by bad men without any truly good role models, what are men individually and collectively supposed to do in order to undo this dysfunctional relationship they now have with women and society in general?
