I travel all the time and have no problem talking to people. I find female friendships so much harder to develop though as so many things I would do to meet people (ie language exchanges, meetup.com etc) are super male dominated. When women go, it seems like they already have at least 1 friend they bring with them which makes it 10x harder for me to introduce myself (I am a woman fyi).
I don't need any more guy friends and I've been finding many of them are looking for something more from me even though I've told them I just want to be friends…
Any tips here would be great. I am feeling quite lonely lately
