I was dating someone for almost 6 months. We talked for more than a month on the phone each night for hours before we met. We were inseparable. Couldn't stand to be apart or not talk on the phone and were incredibly emotionally intimate and open with each other and communicated well. We talked about the future and meeting each other's families. It seemed to be going pretty well, we were both stressed from life circumstances but still enjoyed a good time together and maintained the phone calls most nights.

He dumped me by text rather abruptly. Said nothing other than we had lost the spark that we had when we first started dating. Of course we did, that's what happens after 6 months of dating. You're no longer in that dopamine eush of new love.

I'm just so sad and I don't understand it. Especially since I told him the trauma of being dumped before by text message and how I never wanted to go through that again. Do men ever regret dumping a woman in this type of situation?
