I’ve had guys on Reddit accuse me of such things without knowing anything about me, and I always just laugh it off. Not only am I not conventionally attractive enough for that to be a thing, but also it’s a misogynist argument to make in the first place, that pretty women wouldn’t get ahead if not for being pretty women.
I don’t make a habit of purposefully using my appearance to try to manipulate people for personal gain based on their attraction to me, so I’ve only really been accused of it negatively when the accusation was absolutely false.
It’s a common accusation thrown at women to dismiss their earned accomplishments, so I don’t tend to give it much weight when someone tosses it my way. If I’m accused of it, I generally don’t worry or concern myself with the accusation. I know that I’m acting in an ethical manner aligned with my personal values, so other people’s accusations aren’t that important to me.
People automatically assume i have or that it’s helped me it hasn’t. There’s maybe one job i got based off of looks but me and that boss developed a good friendship and he never put me in a shitty position. Actually caught up with him recently it had been almost 13 years. I wish it helped me more if anything feels like it bites me in the ass cause ppl assume life is so easy and that i can just find a good partner easy if anything i feel like a mark a goal to achieve in bed and i don’t like that.
