where’s the best place to meet people with similar interests?

I want to try meeting people online to practice socializing, and I feel like talking to people who have similar interests to me is much easier than with people I know nothing about. Is there any app or website I can use to meet people like this? I tried discord for a while but I found it difficult to randomly approach people, it’d be much easier doing it somewhere where others are looking to make friends too.
