I (26F) went on a date on Wednesday night with a guy my same age. We really hit it off and I was attracted to him and I feel like he was to me. When we left he asked what I was doing this weekend and said he’d text me. Bc he said that and bc the date went so well, I kind of expected him to have texted me by now. I’m wondering if he was just saying that to be nice or if he really did like me and meant what he said but just hasn’t reached out yet. I also am not really used to dating like this. I’ve had two serious relationships but they kind of just happened without going through the dating process. So I’m wondering if this is normal or a sign he’s not interested.

I usually say something like “it was really nice to meet you last evening and I’d love to do it again sometime soon *mention something like that coffee shop I mentioned or this time in your area or something like that*. Where is your head it?/what are your thoughts?”
Oh, also. I text him. Fuck those rules. I have a call a spade a spade personality so if me texting you is going to spook you or something like that then we won’t be a good fit anyway
After 3 days you probably won’t hear from them, and if they don’t text in the next day or so after the date that’s usually not a good sign. I’d wait to see if he reaches out by Saturday and then move on. It’s just one of those annoying aspects of dating.
I would say chances are decreasing rapidly at this point. He didn’t establish contact/interest after the date and the weekend is basically here and he hasn’t reached out to get some of your time. Remain patient but keep expectations in check. Don’t let other opportunities pass you by while you wait.
