31 days I can take at any time (with fair notice) plus bank holidays plus the time between Christmas Day and New Years Day
28 days paid, including the 8 Bank Holidays (which I think is minimum in UK). Well, plus the extra day I and some got yesterday making it 29 this year.
With me, the Bank holidays are optional, I can take them on the actual Bank Holiday or work it and take them another time.
I live in the UK and get no vacation time. I do however, get 30 days annual leave plus all bank holidays.
35 days. Plus an extra one this year because there’s an extra national holiday.
Dayum that’s good numbers.
We get 15 paid leaves.
+7 holidays.
28 days + 8 public holidays.
I get 25 days + 8 bank holidays
I also get 6 month full pay sick and 6 month half pay sick.
26 days holiday and I can buy up to 5 more I also work a 4 on 4 off rota so already get 6 months of the year off work. Absolutely loving life at the moment not used any holiday entitlement since it renewed in January so I’m only working 8 days a month between now and September didn’t even get that much time off as a kid!
I buy an extra 5 days which gives me 41 paid days in total, so I usually take 2 x fortnight breaks per year plus three separate weeks, which is 25 days and then just random long weekends from there by taking a few Friday/Mondays.
The bank holiday days are just thrown into my total allowance as working those days is optional (I don’t mind working bank holidays, they’re basically just normal days in the UK now)
The only reason I go to work is to eventually take holidays.
It’s important to note that in the UK sick days are not part of PTO.
I get:
– 25 days paid leave (usually at my discretion)
– public holidays (normally 8)
– my birthday off
– 3 incidents of sick in any rolling 12 months at full pay (mostly regardless of duration)
I can roll 3 days over to next year if I don’t use them all, or I can ‘buy’ more if I need more.

I work in the NHS & get 33 days plus bank holidays, this is after 10 years service.

I’m a civil servant so got the equivalent to 31 days off in my first year. But because I do 12 hour shifts it only equates to 23 shifts off in the first year. My average hours a week are the same as a normal civil servant, 36.75. so I get the same total hours of leave as them. Their allowance goes up by a day a year so mine sometimes goes up by a shift a year.
31 days pro rata, plus Queen’s birthday privilege day for being a civil servant, plus 8 bank holidays.
Any sick leave is separate – while technically I’m entitled to six months on full pay, more than 10 days a year that isn’t a one-off good reason like surgery or Covid will likely lead to competence proceedings and termination of your contract.
5 weeks annual leave which is allocated (we can swap between ourselves).
And 5 lieu days a year to be taken as and when required.
We have to work bank holidays though.

I’m planning to take about 45 days off (incl Bank Holidays) this year.

Legal minimum in UK is 28 days (which is often done as 20 days when you choose and 8 designated public holidays)
25 days off, 8 days national holidays, plus one ‘charity’ day we can use for good causes. After a few years you accrue extra days off.
My American colleagues get 20 days off and can ask a for more at a manager’s discretion.
I used to get 28 days a year, PTO used to increase over the years of employment as well. No bank holidays guaranteed off, they are just luck of the draw as to whether you are rota’d on. You do get a better rate for working bank holidays though. Sickness days were separate.

Sick leave 6 months full pay, 6 months half pay.
238 hours. I work a 35 hour week. So 34 days, this includes bank holidays which they all are for me as I work for a bank! Lol.
30 days, an additional 5 days that are “wellness days” that you can take at any time to do anything that you believe is good for your well-being (you don’t have to tell anyone what you’re taking them for, it could be a jolly in the pub), can buy an additional 5 days, 8.5 bank holidays (9.5 this year), can carry over 5 days. I’ve got a total of 49.5 days this year because I bought some. I won’t buy any next year, I’ve got far too much time off I don’t know what to do with myself.
27 official, plus a free day for my birthday. And Christmas and New Year’s Eve if they’re on a week day.
I get 27 days holiday + 8 banks holidays (we do open some Bank holidays, but everyone that works them gets 3x pay/time in lieu). Although I’m not contracted to work any weekends, if I do when they’re short on staff due to holidays/sickness, I get paid (or time in lieu) at 1.5x for Saturdays and 2x for Sundays.
I get 41 days. Plus the 8 bank holidays.
i get 28 days plus bank holidays plus 2 extra days for long service at my company
25 days paid holiday, 8 public holidays. At my work we’re also entitled to our birthday off
29 days plus a mandatory period starting before Christmas and ending after New Year, plus Bank Holidays, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Early May Bank Holiday, Spring Bank Holiday, Summer Bank Holiday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We have an extra one this year for the Jubilee.
How many we actually get depends where Christmas falls. If it’s at a weekend, the bank holiday is moved to the a working weekday. That doesn’t matter for me as I get the time off at Christmas anyway. The minimum I could have is 41. The most was when we had extra closure days during the pandemic. I think I got 45.
