It’s really Hard to pick a sole favorite, just like anything in music.. so I’ll just name my favorites.. Shirley Manson, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple. I like them for their music and what I know of their personality
porshi songs.
Alanis Morissette, don’t really know the reason, but I think she’s the first one I discovered that didn’t sing about love. I mean she does sung about it, but the first song I’ve heard from her is “Hand in My Pocket”
I like Michelle Branch. Flyleaf was good too.
It’s really hard to choose one but I will say…I’ve always connected with Counting Crows. I love Adam Duritz’s songwriting.
It has been Rihanna. She sings about surviving and embracing the darkness. I like that.
Lately, I’ve been digging Olivia Rodrigo. Her songs are about men in toxic relationships who get out of them, recover, and move on with their lives. It’s very inspiring.
– Janis Joplin
– Tarja Turunen (former Nightwish singer)
– Floor Jansen (current Nightwish singer)
– Amy Winehouse
– Billie Eilish (stuff like Bad Guy is not my thing, but I love Happier Than Ever and No Time To Die)
– Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation singer)
– Linda McCartney (Paul McCartney’s late wife who did back-up vocals for Wings and his solo albums)
– Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac singer)
– Dolores O’Riordan (The Cranberries singer)
– Candice Night (Blackmore’s Night singer)
Kylie Minogue. She has a kindness and an energy to her that just makes it hard to feel bad. She can sing live, and she constantly try out new stuff. Really love her ❤️

Gotta be Kim Deal. Loved her in pixies, loved the breeders. I don’t really know why I’m so drawn to her, I just dig her style, I like her voice I like the way she plays her instruments, I like her whole vibe.
Beth Gibbons. Her voice just melts me.
My favorite female artist is Lana Del Rey. She has outstanding instrumentals, solid story teller, taps into your emotions, and she a angelic voice.
Other female artists I enjoy are Jhene Aiko, Marina(Her Froot album is an all time great album), Erykah Badu, Regina Spektor, Kehlani, Florence + Machine, Sia, and Kimbra. I constantly listen to these ladies!
Edit: I listen to a lot of Twice and BlackPink too.
Jess Glynne! That voice of hers is awesome to listen to lol
Lana Del Rey. She just sounds incredibly angelic and I always get shivers when I listen to her music. I feel her music fully.
Been listening to Warpaint a lot lately. Love the drum and bass in their stuff, and the way they harmonize with each other.
For voice voice voice…Streisand, Chaka Khan, Sarah Vaughan, for power… Janis Joplin, Grace Slick, Amy W…mostly oldies but def goodies I think😀
Since everyone else said my other picks here’s one no one knows
There’s a band called “3rd secret” they only have one album there on Spotify I believe but just go to youtube and type 3rd secret full album her voice in my opinion is unique and amazing
Actually here’s the link https://youtu.be/qYdUMZ8evVE
Also Björk and aurora are 2 other amazing female vocalist
Annie Lennox because of her great voice, performances, self-awareness and humor.
Floor Jansen. Bad ass metal queen with an awesome voice.
Elaine Radigue. I just love the sounds she makes.
What she does takes a lot of time, attention to detail and discipline. The results are often beautiful.

Tina Turner. Because she’s Tina fucking Turner.
[She is.](https://youtu.be/kGDRoPlSbwA) She needs a guitar her voice and an iPhone and she has me captivated. No editing, no reverbs, no equalizer, no compression, no auto tune, just her and her guitar. Now she releases fully produced music too, but not overproduced, mind you. Also her music makes me feel like butter melting on a bunch of warm cookies.
I would probably say the Supremes, Whitney Houston, TLC, and Stevie Nicks. They have all had incredible, powerful, and unparalleled singing talents. I also quite like Pat Benatar and Joan Jett (incredible rock musicians), Alanis Morrissette (powerful lyrics and vocals), Avril Lavigne (a number of guilty pleasure songs), and Rihanna (incredible singing used with catchy beats).
I love Lana del rey
Floor Jansen of Nightwish, ex After Forever/ReVamp.
Absolutely amazing voice and vocalist. The perfect fit for Nightwish and always enthralling to listen to.
I really like Ava Max and Anne-Marie
Serena Ryder
Kali Uchis. Oddly enough, I tried hard to ignore her when Ridin Round came out. But after hearing her mixtape Drunkin Babble and a few demos, I fell in love with her story and her vocal skills.
Eventually she did become a bombshell smoke show, so there’s that.
Taylor swift, shes hot
Well, depends on mood. P!nk definitely has some great songs. Janis Joplin is a fucking icon. Nena is old-school cool. Trille has some hilarious songs. Nightwish has some intense singing with their OTT backing.
Tatiana Shmayluk from Jinjer. Her vocal range is absolutely mind-blowing, she sounds great live and sings in multiple languages.
[Here is one of my favorite songs of theirs.](https://youtu.be/SQNtGoM3FVU)
Missy Higgins
Indigo Girls
Amy Ray
The girl from Evanescence
Billie Holiday
Pat Benatar
Melissa Etheridge
Ariana Grande… just idk what to say.. but Ariana Grande
London grammar are fucking beautiful
Birdy.
Her soothing voice fits perfectly with the catchy instrumentation and beautiful lyrics
Fiona Apple is the greatest female artist of the last 30 years and it’s not been close. She has this energy where she is pro female without coming off as a man hater. Expert song writer, can play multiple instruments. Calm and soft yet powerful at the same time. She won’t be appreciated until she has passed away.
Fiona Apple. Her voice is very rich and full sounding.
Favorite is hard.
Imelda May got me interested in rockabilly.
Qveen Herby has scary skills.
Taylor Swift I just find her cute and hot. I don’t care about her music.
