Hey. I lost my photo card license and have applied for a new one online. Unfortunately it was all a bit last minute (5 days ago). Im supposed to be driving to/through Europe in a couple days time. Asides from risking it for a biscuit and hoping I never get stopped, is there any alternative that I can sort before hand? I have my license number and will of course have my passport, insurance, v5 etc. Have been trying to phone dvla but cant get through as usual.

You need to go and join the line at your nearest DMV.
Don’t you need a green card from the insurance as well ?
No, and nothing you can practically do either, but you definitely need the licence.
