My(24F) boyfriend’s ex (26M)looks like me.

We’re currently almost at 2 years. So yesterday I had remembered this comment when I showed my friend my boyfriends ex she was like “she looks like you” and it would come up every once in a while in my head.

But yesterday I just spiraled and got very self conscious and started asking a lot of my friends if she did (was having some anxiety lol). They said she did, one of them said she looked like she could be my cousin. There was a group of friends that said she did, and I showed her more of her profile and they said that it was really only the pictures I took where we looked similar. We have different hair types, teeth, styles and voice. But it’s our eyes and face shape that look similar, sometimes smile (no teeth smile). The thing is, I know my boyfriend loves me. It’s just bothering me the fact that she looks similar to me and I worry all he thinks about is her when he looks at me and that’s why he loves me.

I just need to know, do you think of your ex when you’re with your partner if they look similar to them? Even if you have been dating for about 2 years? That’s what I’m worried about and my anxiety has been really bad, I can’t stop thinking about it and I want to stop :(. I always communicate with him, but I don’t want to talk about this in case he didn’t think about it and now will. And yes I am sadly very very insecure :’(

tldr; My boyfriend’s ex looks like me. We’ve been together for almost 2 years. My question is for people that have dated someone that looks like or has similarities to your ex, if you think about your ex when you look at them? Even after dating for a while?
