You don’t have to continue in cowgirl position, but your bf is right, for the initial/first penetration it can be very beneficial for you to be on top and in full control of what is happening. You can still switch positions after.
Well you cant get better if you don’t try. I like to be on my feet squatting on his dick to make it penatrate harder but i started on my knees. Not sure if you ment cowgirl.. doggy is when youre bent on your knees and elbows and usually he pounds from the back.
It’s definitely easier if you’re nervous. Because you’re in control, you can control the depth and speed of penetration, and if you feel stuck, you can gently rock back and forth to help you relax and take more in. You don’t have to pile-drive yourself into him.
Cowgirl gives you the most control for depth and rate. Missionary, while my favorite, doesn’t give the woman a way to control depth or rate at all.
Spooning, with him behind you, can be good for being more in control than missionary, but not better than woman on top.
