I (18M) just graduated high school and turned 18 and soon ill be moving out super far away to go housesit for my aunt while she’s gone for a few years due to work and I’m taking a year off to work before I go to college. All of this sounds like a great once in a lifetime opportunity until you consider the fact I will have no friends and am gonna be starting from zero with no friends and no family and the job I’m getting is gonna be one with people who are older just doing factory work. So how do I meet other people my age???

Find social events, hobby clubs, religious groups (if you’re into it), etc.
Friendships usually come from repeated encounters with people. So try to find a place that you can go to a lot and where you can see the same people over and over again (sport clubs, meetups, volunteering, etc).
