Today morning i was standing outside yelling for my siblings through the window since i forgot to take the key. She comes out from the other block beside us and greets me. She always greeted me but we never talked. (I knew she was nosy) After greeting me she asked me if i just came from my mom’s shop. I was like no, the bank. She then tells me to call them instead. I didn’t have my phone w me so i used hers but they didnt pick up as they dont from unknown numbers. She asked who i called. I didn’t answer. She asks what room is that window w the curtain? I go “the kitchen”. She then asks if mom is at her shop. I didn’t answer again. Instead went “oh you live here?” Then someone opened the door shortly after. She’s old & nosy. We just chatted for 5 mins. 5 annoying minutes
ANYWAYS HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH NOSY PEOPLE IN GENERAL?

Adjust my perception of the person and try to be more understanding of what circumstances would have them talking to anyone they can. In this case, the neighbor is probably lonely, any children they may have don’t contact them, and who knows how many, if any, people are in their social circle. People are social beings and without socialization people tend to turn “nosy” because they may have lost the ability to interpret social cues
