what if his bullshit was all in my head ? what if his apology was sincere ?

my younger brother is a piece of shit and anybody with a pair of eyes can see that , but he said his apology , and now my family thinks it is my turn to forgive . i however think he is being disingenuous . what if i take a grudge to the grave and he was sincere all along ?
